Common problems and solutions during PCBA cleaning process
PCBA cleaning, today we will share with you a series of common problems and solutions during the PCBA cleaning process:
Problem 1: PCB board surface turns white after PCBA cleaning
The reasons for this situation are as follows:
(1) The welding flux used is non-clean flux;
⑵ The flux used for PCB pre coating and the current flux causing insoluble substances;
⑶. The cleaning agent has been used for too long and is too dirty;
Solution:
1Replace with washable flux;
⑵. Replace with a new cleaning agent and pay attention to frequent replacement to maintain the cleaning power of the cleaning agent;
Problem 2: There is residue on the IC pins of the SMT after cleaning
Possible causes of this problem:
(1) The solder paste used for SMT cannot be cleaned;
⑵ Insufficient ultrasonic cleaning time;
⑶. The cleaning agent has been used for too long and is too dirty;
Solution:
⑴. Replace with washable solder paste;
⑵ Increase the cleaning time of ultrasonic waves appropriately;
3 . Use a new cleaning agent to maintain its cleaning power;
Problem 3: After cleaning, the IC pins turn black
The reasons for this situation may be:
⑴. Tin removal flux contains excessive halogens;
⑵ The solder paste corrodes, causing oxidation of the pins;
Solution:
(1) Use halogen-free or specialized soldering flux to remove IC tin;
⑵. Use low corrosive solder paste;
Problem 4: After cleaning, the PCB board surface turns gray with residual water marks
The reasons for this situation may be:
⑴. The cleaning agent has been used for too long;
⑵. The cleaning agent contains excessive water and its solubility is insufficient;
3. During the drying process after cleaning, there is air moisture that condenses and causes pollution
Solution:
⑴. Pay attention to the frequency of replacing cleaning agents
⑵. Try to avoid the influence of moisture in the air as much as possible
⑶. Check the source of water, in the same time, check the water separator of ultrasonic and cleaning machines
The above are common problems and solutions during the PCBA cleaning process, hoping to be helpful to you!
